Fork'd Up ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Fork'd Up mobile application and website. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. Fork'd Up is available in the United States and Mexico, and this policy applies to users in both countries.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information: name, email address, password (hashed), role, and country (United States or Mexico)
• Profile information: zip/postal code, bio, job types, business type, phone number, profile photo
• Usage data: gig activity, messages, ratings, and app interactions
• Device information: device type and push notification tokens (for alerts)
• Language preference: your selected language (English or Spanish)

2. How We Use Your Information

• To operate and improve the Fork'd Up platform
• To match workers with businesses across the U.S. and Mexico
• To send notifications about gig activity and messages
• To process subscription payments through Apple or Google
• To prevent fraud and enforce our Terms of Service
• To provide bilingual support in English and Spanish

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:

• Other users, as necessary to facilitate matches and communication
• Payment processors (Apple, Google) for subscription billing
• Service providers who help us operate the platform
• Law enforcement when required by applicable law in the United States or Mexico

4. Cross-Border Data

Because Fork'd Up operates in both the United States and Mexico, your data may be processed and stored on servers located in the United States. By using Fork'd Up, you consent to this transfer and processing of your data.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we permanently delete your personal data within 30 days.

6. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by contacting us or using the Delete Account feature in Settings. Users in Mexico may also have rights under Mexico's Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (LFPDPPP).

7. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and hashed passwords to protect your data.

8. Children

Fork'd Up is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

9. Changes

We may update this policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes via the app.
